Guitar Inventory > SOLD! Fender Vintage Modified Squire 51 DCXSound Build (8)

This was a pretty cool bargain blowout back when Guitar Center sold these off for $70 a pop. The fat chunky necks made a lot of players feel right at home playing these lightweight sleepers... even though they seemed to be made of Swiss Cheese and pot metal. The light finish on the neck made them easy to refin in pure nitro lacquer. Didn't bother with the body. Just added screws to adjust the height of the neck pickup, and added a steel plate under it which was missing from this one but I heard some of them came with that stock. Also added in a fat sounding Seymour Duncan JB Humbucker with a chrome cover to class it up a bit and wa la. Just one lacquered decal away from a Vintage Modified Squire 51.
