Guitar Inventory > Mercury Chief With Parsons B Bender and G Bender (13)
$1950 Just an amazing guitar. DCXSound is starting a major guitar building phase and we recently bought out the last of Mercury Guitars luthier supplies. Mercury was an innovative company building a line of classic electric guitars and bases during the 1990s. They were a licensed Parons String Bender installation facility.
Along with their remaining wood and tools we picked up this prototype Mercury Chief fitted with an authentic Parsons B/G Bender. This is truly a one of a kind instrument. I've played a B Bender before but a G Bender takes some getting use to. Besides the Gene Parsons hardware, it came with a Lindy Fralin Telecaster Bridge pickup along with a Strat type middle Pickup and a Fender Neck Telecaster pickup. Combined with some fancy switching options and you've got a real tone machine. It comes equipped with Kieth banjo type tuners with locking range set screws (on the E,A and B strings) that let you quickly re-tune to your favorite alternate tuning. Doug Pelton, one of the founding partners of Mercury, said the original list price was around $2000. I don't think you could touch a custom B Bender let alone a G Bender guitar for anywhere close to that these days . Thank you Doug for putting us into one of your finest creations! Comes with custom fit highly protective case.
