Original Rat Pedal
This is an original issue, vintage Rat pedal. The first version produced by Proco. Some of the tell tell signs that verify this as an original are that the "RAT" logo is spelled with all capitals and there is a white fringe as part of the silkscreen on the trailing edge of the "T" in RAT. What are the sonic differences between this OG Rat pedal and the newer versions? The original vintage Rat has a much creamier, thicker distortion than the Rat 2 pictured below. The middle knob is labeled "Tone" and increases high frequency response as it is turned clockwise. On the Rat 2 the middle knob is labeled "Filter" and it decreases high frequency response as turned clockwise. The Rat 2 has more edge to it.

Pluto Pedal
Possibly the rarest of all vintage foot pedals. Comes with a bi-axis foot controller that connects to the unit with a 1/4" stereo cord. Incredible tone filter and distortion effects. Similar to devices fitted to Phil Lesh (The Grateful Dead) basses. Made by George Munday who worked with Alembic on Phil's basses. Serial number on this unit is "George 2". I purchased this pedal from a friend of George's at a garage sale near Haight Ashbury in San Francisco.

Modded Digitech 2 Second Delay
Modified for 4 seconds of delay. This is a wild and crazy delay. Especially useful for tweaking live during a performance.
-
Ibanez SD-9
Original Gangsta SD-9. My current overall fave guitar signal distortion unit after the "Hammer of God". If you haven't heard one of these, and its highly likely that you haven't, well don't buy mine..I like it too much.
-
Boss DM-2 Analog Delay
Wonderful analog delay goodness. They just don't, or can't, make em like this anymore.
-
Tim Pedal
Finally got my Tim pedal. Does it live up to the hype? That would be a resounding... YES! Nothing can touch the Tim pedal in the clean boost realm. It has a surprisingly decent overdrive capability as well. I have just started to put it through its paces but so far, I am not disappointed. It was definitely worth the wait. If I were you, I would order one from Paul Cochrane right away because it will take about 9 months to get yours once your on the list.
-
Vintage Proco Rat 2 Pedal
Its vintage and its got serious growl. Has the so called Ruetz mod for enhanced bass response and fuller tone. The Ruetz mod is totally reversible, just resolder one lead of a resistor.
-
Modified Crybaby Wah/Phaser
This has an old school Maxon phaser wired in parrallell with the wah effect with a seperate on/off switch and rate control. Sounds likw a univibe kinda but better.
-
Boss Blues Driver II
If you don't have one of these in your rig you are truly missing out on something good. I have two of them. Its distortion has a unique, lively quality to it. Lots of folks get these modded but I like em just the way they are.

Danelectro Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive
OUT OF PRODUCTION! Supposedly a direct rippoff of Paul Cochrane's Timmy pedal circuit. Danelectro now offers a different vesion of this pedal that supposedly does not infringe on Paul Cochranes intellectual property. Don't buy one of these and buy one of Pauls Timmy pedals instead (one of the best overdrives out there). Beter yet, get a full fledged Tim pedal with the extra boost circuit/controls and loop path.

DOD Mini Chorus 460
This is a fantastic sounding chorus pedal very similar to the Boss CE-2 silver screw version that everyones after. Very transparent and chimey.
-
Skunk Werks SR-71.jpg
This is about as hand crafted as you can get. So far this is the only one of its kind. More about this pedal in the Reviews Section.
-
Univox Super Fuzz
Rehoused in a pedal board friendly housing. Added a dc supply jack, a pot to blend between the two different circuits instead of the switch, and exposed the bias pot for the main drive transistor. I have the OG housing around here somewhere. I should take some photos of the guts of this thing as its very cool looking.

Korg X-911 Guitar Synth
Awsome table top guitar synth!
-
Sea Moon Studio Phase
Super rare Studio Phase put out by Sea Moon durring the 70's. This one is not working but maybe someday. Anyone got a schematic?
-
Germanium Fuzz Face
Some of these are better than others. This seems to be a good one. Not much in the way of on board controls but you know you've got a good one when you get a lot of control by just using the volume knob on your guitar when the controls on the Fuzz Face are turned all the way up.
-
Boss OC-2
Dual octave pedal. These are great for deconstructing a distorted signal. Set it up so the two different octaves are fighting each other to track the note and behold the weirdness.
-
MXR Dyna Comp Modern
This is a recent version of this stalwart, highly regarded compressor pedal. These can really work wonders for both lead and rhythm guitar. Especially useful for clean tones or amps with natural overdrive as most distortion effects provide their own form of compression.
-
Dunlop Univibe
Sold! Originally intended as a Leslie Tone cabinet simulator. These things have a sound all their own. This pric eincludes a dunlop univibe foot controller.
-
Subdecay Stupid Box Distortion Pedal
Sold. Incredibly utilitarian distortion pedal. The Stupid box was one of the smartest investment I ever made. This pedal has 3 basic controls consisting of "Drive", "Tone", and "Volume" but also has internal dip switches to custom tailor the response of the pedal to your amp and guitar. This pedal produces some fantastic lead tones and a very guttural, hearty distortion.
-
Ibanez Modualation Delay
Sold Such an awesome pedal. Great for total sonic obliteration or subtle swirling delays.
-
Alesis Faze Phase Shifter
Sold Crazy stereo phaser. This is a true stereo effect. Great for recording and tabletop destructo noise editing with an excellent Uinivibe emulation mode. Being a true stereo device you can patch one channels output back to the other channels input to double the crazyness. Sounds great! This line of effects by Alesis never really took off but if you have more then one of these types you can link them up in a series/parralell configuration via special connectors on the sides of the devices. More fun than a barrel of monkeys.
-
Marshall Bluesbreaker II
Sold An excellent variant of the tube screamer circuit. These are actually great sounding pedals as is but also a prime candidate for modding to grerat effect (like the Marshall Jackhammer JH-1)
-
MXR Dyna Comp Vintage
Sold This is a vintage, original MXR Dyna Comp manufactured in the 1970's. These are prized for their Vintageness. Since I have both an original and a reissue I can honestly testify that the vintage unit does indeed sound better. To put a finer point on it, I would have to describe the main differences between the old and new in the touch sensitivity, responsiveness, and note definition as being noticeably better in the vintage unit. The sonic/tonal differences seem negligible.
-
Original ADA Flanger
Sold (to Keeley Electronics) The Original Flanger pedal. The best by far, comes with ADA branded speed controler pedal.
-
DOD Stereo Phaser
Sold. A fun way to generate a stereo signal. Great for running two amps which you can't beat for a live guitar rig.
-
Boss CE-2 Silver Screw
Sold The coveted silver screw made in Japan version. A very delicious sounding effect deserving its reputation and high cost.
